  • Holiday Cheer?

A man walks in to a pet store and says to the Clerk:
"My girlfriend really loves animals, do you know a good x-mas present?"

    The ckerk says:
"Sure, how about this bird? His name is Chet. Chet sings x-mas songs"
The man looks at Chet and says:
"how do I make chet sing?"

The clerk says light a match and put it under his right or left foot"
The man tries it.When he put it under the left foot Chet sang Jingle Bells, under the right he sang White x-mas. So the man buys it and goes home.

On x-mas day the Man's Girlfriend gets her present, chet the bird. The man shows her how chet can sing.

    Then she asked:
"What happens if you put the match in between chet's legs?"

    The man says:
    "I dunno let's see"
So they put a match between his legs. Then Chet started singing:
"Chet's nuts roasting on an open fire....."

  • Ahhh....the humanity!!!

Well now that that is out of my system

Turkey day was a fun adventure. I traveled from Bellingham to Yakima on Tuesday and all in all the drive was very easy (I don't look forward to the pass on Christmas) only the usual areas that got congested.

Then on T-Day my folks, Gram and I drove to my cousins in Ephrata for a day of fellowship, feeding and....(I can't think of another f- word)....frivolity (sp?) I guess that will work. In other words we had a good time and it was nice to get to catch up with everyone.

On the home front not to much to report. My friend JP will be moving out of town in January. He has a new job lined up in CA. It will be sad to see him go but it will be a good financial move for him in the long run.

Synatra is doing well just sort of being a kitty. It might be time for him to get a new cat tree/house but I just haven't found any thing that would befit his stature in the Larry house hold .

Short sweet and to the point. Have a great week all!

  • Life Goes On

Heading Home to see the folks this coming weekend. Getting older and want to be with the family for  my Birthday.

Not to much to report. The music for the church jazz group is going well. Rehersal was canceled this last weekend as the church was being used for the annual craft fair and there was no room at the inn for the band.

For fun I have been playing Guitar hero three. Very fun game except for the occasional hand cramp . What is funny is I have not played on a platform system for some time. This the last one was the Nintendo 64. So everything is new and akward again.

Well I hope you all have a great week! God Bless

Pslam 52:9 "I will praise you forever for what you have done; in your name I will hope for your name is good. I will praise you in the presence of your saints." (NIV)

    Take Care all,

  • Joy

Well is has been few and far between but I actually found joy in my job today. It is truly a blessing when that happens and when it does remember to take a step back and savor the moment!

I am feeling a lot better. I am still dealing with decongesting (gross I know) but I can breath and hear again. Haven't done much music comp lately as not being able to hear can make it difficult. I do plan to pick it back up in the next week  and get to making a video as well.

Hope everyone is doing well and I hope you have a great rest of the week and weekend!

    God Bless

  • Update - Movie - KMC Jazz

Well not to much to report. I have made a couple minor changes to the music. There were some places that just seemed to repetative so I adjusted them and am now content.  I have also been working on some counter themes with the keyboard as I was making adjustments. Next step as always will be to get the midi part of the studio setup.

Last night I spent an hour in the film editing software to figure out how the system work. I loaded the music in and started playing around with text marquees. After a while I had everything so messed up I just shut the software down.  I didn't really lose that much work but I will need to run through the tutorilas as there is a lot about this program I do not understand.

The church jazz group is progressing nicely. We have 1 trombone, 2 trumpets, 1 alto and 1 tenor sax for the horn section. For rhytym we have 1 guitar, 1 bass, 1 drummer and a piano player so our core group is set. We have been meeting every saturday and playing through the pieces for Christmas and a potential out reach concert.

I for see us getting together and playing with the recordings two more times. This will give the folks that haven't been able to show up a chance to hear the form of the pieces we will be playing.  Then we will need to start standing on our own feet and play without the recordings. It will be tough but it will wok itself out in the end. It is jazz after all

  • Final Product

Ok so worked till midnight and finished the music. Total time 3.12 minutes. Now to get to filming. This should be interesting! The next set will be to make a decsion regarding using text or voice over to tell the story in a short time.

So many options so little time.

(Edit - May work on the rythm layout a little more but this is the over all form)
