  • Frustrated

Well weighed in and gained again this week. Two weeks in a row. It is a little irritating, especially this last week.  I know it is part of the process but it does not make it any less of a mental block. Been Journaling online I think I will go back to the paper journals this next week. See if that helps.

On the plus side I have joined a gym. Last month the goal was to go every other day and do cardio excercise. June is the mont we kick it up a notch. I have been going to the gym everyday this week. On Monday, wednesday and Friday I am weight lifing and doing Cardio, On Tuesday and Thursday it is just Cardio. Cardio for now s 30 minutes on the tread mill or some other form of walking for the same ammount of time.

So overall I am making good life decisions just not losing weight...GRRRRRR

  • Have a Heart

What have I been up to? Well besides joining a Gym, losing/gaining weight and trying to keep the lawn under control.

I have been working to help save a television show named "CHUCK". A few of us fans have banded together in a grass roots effort to save the show.

The name of the Campaign is: " Have a heart...Renew Chuck" You can see the blog here:

    http://weheartchuck.blogspot.com/

For this campaign the fans are backing the American Heart Assoc. which is the main charity supported by Subway resturants. Subway is a major sponsor of the show. Our thought is to do something good for our community in the name of something we enjoy and appreciate.

Fans donate to the AHA in the name of Chuck Bartowski the main character of the show. Then the donation notifications are SENT to NBC to let them know what is going on. To date the campaign has raised a total of  $12,945 as of 5/13/09.

    5/15/09 -- $14,216.00 (467 total donations)

Our overall goal is two million dollars. This goal amount was decided upon as it is the penatly fee that NBC would have to pay out to Warners Bothers to renew CHUCK for another season. At least that is how I understand it.

Here is the AHA tribute page set up in the name of Chuck Bartowski: http://honor.americanheart.org/site/TR?type=fr_tribute_fund&fr_id=1030&pxfid=22020&post_id=80740&bpg=rlist&pg=fund#p80880

This cause hits me two fold:

    1. I  really like the show. It is one of three televesion shows I will actually make time to watch (NCIS, BURN Notice are the other two if you care). The writing, cast and crew are top notch as is the fan base.

    2. My grandfather died from Heart diease. He was a very important person in the developmental stages of my life and we lost him way to early. I do not want others to experience this loss if it can be prevented.

So, That is what I have been up to. Helping to Save a TV show.

    EVERYBODY TALKS!

  • Hope

one of the three main elements of Christian character (1 Cor. 13:13). It is joined to faith and love, and is opposed to seeing or possessing (Rom. 8:24; 1 John 3:2). "Hope is an essential and fundamental element of Christian life, so essential indeed, that, like faith and love, it can itself designate the essence of Christianity (1 Pet. 3:15; Heb. 10:23). In it the whole glory of the Christian vocation is centred (Eph. 1:18; 4:4)." Unbelievers are without this hope (Eph. 2:12; 1 Thess. 4:13). Christ is the actual object of the believer's hope, because it is in his second coming that the hope of glory will be fulfilled (1 Tim. 1:1; Col. 1:27; Titus 2:13). It is spoken of as "lively", i.e., a living, hope, a hope not frail and perishable, but having a perennial life (1 Pet. 1:3). In Rom. 5:2 the "hope" spoken of is probably objective, i.e., "the hope set before us," namely, eternal life (comp. 12:12). In 1 John 3:3 the expression "hope in him" ought rather to be, as in the Revised Version, "hope on him," i.e., a hope based on God.

  • Yo Yo

Alright down 3.8 for this last week. The yo yo weight loss cycle continues it seems. At least I netted an over all .8 loss  from last week 3.0 gainer.
